Blast in Boerne

So much to do, so little time...

Inside the house: we play, bake, eat (of course), and even attempt a little guitar. Naomi may need to wait until the guitar is not bigger than she is.

We also read (particularly when it means prolonging the inevitable bedtime).

Outside the house: we throw rocks in the creek, bring the men drinks while they build fences (etc.!),

and, generally, walk around exploring.

Weather permitting (which it has been ALL week!), we hobnob with Daisy on the back porch.

 

We go beyond the Bassett fences to the Welfare Care in Welfare, Texas and enjoy delicious, fresh foods. (NOTE: Not for those on welfare!).

 And Leif finds his very own snuggle courtesy of Nana and Walmart.

Seventh anniversary/first day in Boerne

So happy to be out of the car! Amongst friendly faces no less!

Impromptu ice cream excursion

Ice cream and friends ended Saturday on a good note. Did I say good? Great!

And Leif's first taste of ice cream to boot!

New house: two weeks, two days

But who is counting??

Enjoying the great outdoors - come sunshine or rain.

We also enjoy the neighborhood walks and park.

Of course the inside is also a great place to be.

So, awkward picture of me, but I didn't have many inside pictures yet...and my sister is wonderful for sending such a great housewarming gift, so I am posting at my expense.

Then, what good is a house without company?!

Phil's parents come to check it all out. Here we are scoping out neighborhood trees and backyards for ideas.

 The Petersons also stop by for a 2nd look, after putting forth MUCH effort in helping us move in a few weekends back.

Naomi loves to sing

Sometimes she gets caught on a loop where one song feeds into another and there is no resolution. Here you have just a good old-fashioned 2-year-old concert.
