Getting handy with a spoon

Sitting on the table while I make Grandma's pound cake, I let Naomi work on getting used to a spoon. A good friend suggested this as we near food introduction.  Given the low success rate with a bottle, I thought this was an excellent suggestion.  Naomi is still deciding.

She looks like she wants to eat the spoon rather than eat with it!

I like that you're introducing her to butter, too.

Rachel, you won't believe how big she is since you saw her last, at Christmas now I guess! Cindy, she's still figuring it out. I think the length of the spoon is really confusing because part can be at her mouth but the top part is at her forehead. Butter and grandmothers go together. Every time I smell better melting in a saucepan for browning purposes I think of both Moesa and Grandma's kitchens. It's never too early for butter!
