Phil had a rough work week - one full day, two partial days, and two days off completely. We consoled him the 2nd full day off by sliding down our driveway on our recycling bin lids. You can see pockets of water below the ice since the first melt was underway.
Leif is shocked, shocked!, that Naomi is trusting enough to send her lamby down the driveway with only a blanket to keep her warm. She needs a hat at least.
We sure tried to make a snow man, but alas, the snow of our storybooks allows for amazing snowmen while we managed to make cookies and a big snow mountain. And Naomi wanted to use a beer bottle for the nose, so there was a bit of disappointment all around.
Snow angels! Another mystical activity from the depths of our book collection set in wintry conditions. This activity delivered though Leif is less sure than Naomi.
These two may not stay outside for hours at a time, but they played hard and slept GREAT.
I forgot to post these when the kids were doing their art. Naomi's 5 pieces during her room time. A rocket ship, Leif holding a banana, and the alphabet.
A letter that says, "Dear Mama, I have to go. But I'll be back. PS Pete is with me." (We read Bill and Pete to the Rescue by Tomie DePaola, and the letter is strangely reminiscent). On the right, Leif pulling a (large) piece of tape.

Such creative kids! Mud painting on the door and snow art. Love Naomi's imagination shown in her little stories. Can't wait to hear more! I'm partial to the drawing of Leif holding a banana. Love the expression shown in his eyes and smile. :)
Love you blog! Thanks for sharing!
